Orientalism by Edward Said

    Orientalism means  the knowledge and study of Asian, especially Eastern languages, literature, politics, etc...

Orient is called to that country where western countries made colonies.

An Orientalist is someone who studies the language, culture, history or customs of countries in eastern Asia.

      Orientalism book is written by Edward Said in the year 1978. He has tried to give his view about the difference between eastern and western countries. Western counties think that they are civilized people in the world and they are developed and superior to eastern countries.  They were thinking that people of eastern countries are uncivilized we will teach them how to live life and they started to do rule over society and made colonies. Actually, they were doing forcefully

    They always are shown to the world that we are teaching them and trying to make civilization but they not shown that behind the act they loot a lot of precious items and all.

    In the introduction, we find miss-representation of Arab. This representation through he got inspired to write real history. When we just hear the word Arabs we first think that they are terrorists. He has given the example of the Arab-Israeli war of 1973 and he has tried to prove his point. In the world, they spread the image of Arab countries as a creator and savior of terrorists.  

Issue of Palestine

    Palestinian are suffering in the present time also a lot from 1948. They are fighting for the peace and their homeland but Western countries do not take any kind of action on this issue.

Film and Media

    Arab countries giving terrorist to the world this is the representation in the film and in media, they show with negative images.

Who given support to them?

They have given support to them to start these types of activities but they will never accept this answer. Arabians are also giving reply with weapons that’s way situation become more terrible now.

    Western countries through Railway Postal Service and Technology increased but somewhere somehow they used people of eastern more for self. If they are on the top then also they have not right to say negatively view of Eastern countries. Because everyone has something good and bad but no one has to see just bad things and negativity, we have to describe both sides.
