(Q)
How far do you agree with India represented in the novel The White Tiger?
The representation of India in the novel
is based on brutal realities. How poor and upper-class people live and the experience of the author can be found in the novel.
In the journey from birth to dying how
many harder levels faced by poor people, shown in the novel with the various incident.
Arvind Adiga did a satire on the education system, people believe in superstitions, he satire on religion, he makes fun of god and goddesses (Hanuman, Ganga), corruption, joblessness, master-
slave relationships, servants treated as an animal (no dignity in work), fight
for have vs. have nots, dark India vs. light India and satire on Police. Yes, these are realities of India that can find in the novel.

is the archetype of all stories of ‘rags to riches’?
Yes, when you are growing fast and

may right or wrong also but here Immorality can find more in the Indian entrepreneur
personality.
War for white-collar.
Balram’s story becomes the archetype of all stories. He becomes a businessman when he killed his
master and stole his money. Balaram flees to Bangalore and he starts a new business of taxi with the help of
Police.
